Preserving Jack o'Lanterns

To Keep Jack O'Laterns from rotting too Quickly do the following:
1. Cut the access hole, to remove the seeds and meat from the inside, through the back and not the top.
2. Soak in water with a small amount of bleach to disinfect the surfaces
3. Put vaseline on cut surfaces to minimize dehydration.
